In the summer of 2010, a partnership of agencies, organizations, and jurisdictions came together as the Tahoe Basin Partnership for Sustainable Communities (‘Partnership’) in order to apply for a grant from the Strategic Growth Council. The Partnership builds on a long history of regional collaboration involving multiple public and private stakeholders. The Partnership is comprised of two regional agencies (TRPA and TMPO), two counties (Placer and El Dorado), the City of South Lake Tahoe  located within El Dorado County, the California Tahoe Conservancy (an independent state agency), and two non-profit organizations ( North Lake Tahoe Resort Association and Sierra Nevada Alliance). Collectively, the Partnership supports execution of the Strategic Growth Council 2011 Sustainable Communities Planning Grant officially awarded to the TMPO in August of 2011. The Partnership meets monthly to discuss and evaluate grant funded tasks & deliverables. Products from these efforts have been made available through this website.
